What I do…
Help people communicate in a way that is warm, welcoming and accessible to all.
Growing up I wanted to become…
A tall person who owned a TV. I was partially successful.
The thing that surprised me most about my career…
is that I have one. I was hit by a car and spent 9 months in plaster. To pass the time, I started to write and by a huge stroke of luck, it took off. I spent 20 years writing for big film and TV companies and am so grateful, I put a lot back.
The best advice anyone ever gave me…
“Start where you are, use what you’ve got, do what you can”, a quote from Arthur Ashe. I like its modesty, that it doesn’t matter what you’ve got, it’s enough to begin.
